coch's confession
I not quite sure how to say this, so I'll just start typing and see where it goes. First off, I'd like to say that you guys are a pretty good bunch. I've been playing video games for many years now. I came across VGX's site in search of info about one of the greatest games ever made: Zelda: OoT. It was a few months later when I discovered the boards, around Nov of ‘99 was it? Anyway, I lurked for a while, then I posted under a few different aliases, then I chose the name ‘cochinillo' after VGX mentioned that it meant ‘suckling pig'. I've stuck with that name the whole time.
I've always been on the board late at night, due to my job. I don't want to mention too many names, cause I don't want to leave anyone one out, but I spent a good deal, in the early days communicating with a few folks via AIM a little bit more than the rest of you, and I'm glad to have gotten to talk with them. They were Morpha, Gimdim, Maxwell, Sarge, and on a couple of occasions Zelda1. Thanks for all the good chats guys. I also got to know Castle Guard through a lot of the ‘spin-off' boards, but I don't think we ever chatted on AIM.
By now your thinking ‘get to the point' or ‘who are you' or ‘shut up already'. Well, here goes. First off, you guys are pretty mature for your age, probably more mature than I'll ever be. So I just want to let you know, I lied about my age. That's the only lie I've told(I think), and every thing else I said was true. Wether it was about my job or my life. And yes, for those of you that remember, my brother did succumb to cancer on July 14, 2001. Thanks for all of your condolences, they meant a lot. Anyway, as time went by, I became less involved in the boards, because I guess I felt a bit guilty for the deception, and/or I didn't want to ‘give myself up' so to speak. The reason I lied was because when I found out all of your ages, I felt like an old man that didn't belong, but I wanted to stay because there was some really good discussion about the game(OoT) and I wanted in on it. As time went by other discussions arose that were non-game related, and I got involved somewhat. Then one day I thought that it was inappropriate for me to be participating with a board of teenagers, so I stared participating in the discussions less and less.. Kinda stupid, huh? Anyway, it might not be such a big deal to you guys, but I'll be 32 on Sept 15. That means I was 28 when I first came to the boards.
Anyway, I guess that's why I never chatted much on AIM with you guys, and for better or worse, I've come clean. I'm sorry I've been so deceptive.
BTW, do any of you guys remember someone posting as drewnb onetime? That was me, checking in on you guys.
Oh yeah, thanks to WhoCares for getting me involved in the ROM scene.

Hey man, no problem. Fukkin' Toby posts here, and he's like what, 92? Who cares about age? As long as you aren't... say... having sex with younger board members, then I don't see the problem.

Ain't no thang. I don't remember what you said your age was, but I always figured you were late 20's or something.

Yeah, I've seen toby. He's from boardset=saxweb I think. I met him at rygar's board.
Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest, and what better way than to do it on the board's 4th b-day?

"Now dont you forget your walker on the way out Mr. Nillo." Gimdin
ha, ha.
BTW, here's the user name I've used on many other boards while I was away. I think I'll use it here from now on.
Just ignore the stupid plug in my sig. Oh wait, no sigs allowed.

I was going to avoid double posting by editing, but eh...
I have another confession to make. A real stupid one.
Remember Joque Strapp? That was me fooling around with you guys. Got old fast.
Now I think I've come completely clean.

LOL! Well, you know, I'm terrible with names. So, like, if I actually remember that you switched, I'll be pissed that you did. I don't care about your age, btw. You could be as old as my grandma, and as long as you're not crapping your pants like she does, you've still got the right to post here.
