Abdalians' Online Community / Your suggestions... / Abdalian Association

In order to have a unified harmony in the entire Abdalian community, we must be calling Abdalian Association as the central body of the Old boys.In this direction while we must appreciate the efforts put in by the youngster from Lahore by providing the web page at his personal expense, the new office bearers of the Association may endeavour to have a web site controlled by the Association and also remove the confusion of the various names attributed to the old boys associations. Let it be known as the Abdalian Association and all major cities acting as settelites of the association. I am sure the new GeneralSecretery of the Association is thinking about it now.All Abdalians having access to this site may like to give in their thoughts on a better organized association.It is a pity that out of roughly 5000 Abdalians we have data base of 300 Cadets only.This only because of the very basic fact that we do not have a coordinated effort.May I suggest that everybody reading this message should send his comments to Engr.Jamil Malik the new General Secretery of the Abdalian Association.

I am responding to the message by Mr Rashid Aziz. Its my feeling that 'older' boys had a natural monopoly over the affairs of Abdalian Association, perhaps by virute of their senority. However, if Association is to be a truly democractic body, then it has to have reprsentations from all years. The why and how of the suggestion can be discussed.

Dear Mr Malik,
I am glad that my observation has been taken in a good stride. I must confess that existing structure of AA is not known to me. Therefore I may not be able to suggest changes in a concrete fashion, unless some information on the working of AA is provided to me. Have you published or disseminated any material on the structure and functions of AA? If yes, I would like to be on the mailing list, if any. Or to recieve that basic information, before I can submit suggestions that can be "put up on the agenda of the Executive Committee" of AA.

The only way a central body will be strong is when its satellite bodies are well grounded and strong. I would suggest that the executive committe should look at organizing events, meeting and get togethers of Abdallians at major cities in collaboration with the local Abdallians. Let there be periodic meetings and get togethers for them an opportunity to interact and know eacht other. These strong well connected bodies at the cities' level will then feed into making the central organization strong. And I am sure more addresses will get added on to the list apart from other strengths.
