Wow, I haven't looked up C Melody on the net for a while, and just discovered this forum. I look forward to going over all of the posts.

I am a proud owner and player of a ~1923 CG Conn straight neck w/ satin silver finish and brass inner bell found in a garage years ago.

Welcome to crazyville! For over 40 years I thought of the C Melody as being the "wall hanger" or "parts donor" or "window dressing" sax. Now we are looking at it as the logical horn.

Yes, I've been hunting down sound samples, and (as commented by Ross)there is this 80 year gap from the 20's to the 21st Century...

(with the possible obscure exception)

I used to make cartoons, but the FBI stopped me with a long trial. That was the first case of suspended animation.
