The last three posts on the thread "What a Lovely Sound", have been deleted. What's this all about?

Alan Tucker. Is that you taking things in your own hands?

No..... Never have, never will. Except for spam, but I seem to remember someone else suggesting that I delete peoples postings - so, if you're reading this Wade, remove me from the Spam Deleter list (please). That should stop this rubbish.

However, I posted on that thread about my concern with the words that seem to get 'past' the profanity checker, and requested that Wade used his powers of deletion...

And, I'm slightly hacked off about the new "What a Lovely Sound (cont.)" topic. So, as I just said on another topic - I'll just leave you guys to your own devices for a while, better things to do.

Sad.

Castaway - I went back to look at that topic, and I'm happy to say that it's probably corrupted... Maybe offended by the language, I'm sure Wade will confirm this ?

Any of us with permission to delete Spam (which I hope I won't have soon...) can only delete entire postings or topics, so that even the posters name goes - but NOT modify or delete the contents.

Alan, that is the same reason that I stepped down as a spam killer.

Ah, you were another one.... I'm also not going to be drawn into commenting on anything in future, that isn't either musical or obviously humourous !

Although I haven't asked to stop being a spam-killer, in the last few days I've found that I can't delete spam any more.

That's funny, now one of MY postings has disappeared ! One where I suggested that the 'spam-killers' critics become spam killers, right under my other 'returned' posting......

Maybe I should expect this one to vanish as well ?

Okay, I removed all spam killers to see if this would resolve the disappearing posts problem. It did NOT! So I guess this is a problem with the service provider.

Unfortunately I cannot even put in a ticket as they provide this free service as a by product of having assimilated the previous company that provided this service. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers!

Sam, if you want back on, email me your desired password and I will add you back. Same for all other spam killers.

I don't really mind, I was just curious as to what had happened. Thanks for clearing things up.

I'll re-email you Wade. There may well be a fault in the program, hopefully it'll work itself out. We could of course transfer to vbBullitin or similar...
