Interested in playing an active, organized and challenging Dune RPG? Then I’d like to extend an invitation for you to join the Dune: War of Assassins RPG. War of Assassins is a turn based strategy and role playing game that combines aspects of rts, rp, pbem along with extensive use of the game site’s message boards and live chat room. We are currently at 22 active members and will be starting turn 4 in a week.

War of Assassins starts out in the year 7100AG, and centers on the political, economic and military intrigue between the Major and Minor Houses of the Landsraad. Major Houses in play are House Atreides, Harkonnen, Ecaz, Ginaz and Moritani, each assigned a varying amount of Minor Houses operating under their command. Each House, Major or Minor, works to further its influence within the Landsraad be it thru economical power by holding positions on the CHOAM Directorate, by political power as a member of the Landsraad High Council or thru House to House intrigue using espionage, sabotage and assassins.

As all of the Major Houses are filled, when you enter the game you start as a Minor House, a wealthy business class family, overseeing your own section of the Major House’s fief on which you reside. With the resources at your disposal, you will be able to add to your House staff, participate in challenges and negotiations to gain more economic and political clout, engage your rivals through covert actions in an attempt to weaken their Houses and eventually raise your Minor House’s status into the ranks of a Major House, whereby you will be granted increased title along with your own fief to control and eventually your own Minors to rule over. On top of all of this is the ever increasing need for spice and the struggle to acquire and maintain it.

War of Assassins is very active community, seeking new players who have a love for Dune, enjoy the creative writing of a rich role play environment and are willing to engage in strategies evolving themselves and other players in the game. With players from all corners of the globe, our chat room and message boards are active around the clock so there is always something happening. As mentioned before, we are about to start turn 4 so starting now will not put you at a disadvantage and due to the nature of the game there is a lot of room for advancement.
