I think that Leto didn't had much luck in his life, first his father, killed by a bull, than he must go to dune to meet his doom!
Leto is one of the greates charecters in Dune!
His life is one sick adventure "thanks" to the Harkonnen!

Quite right. He was one of the most noble characters in the whole series. The epitome of the Atreides. It was one of the few great accomplishments of the mini-series to portray him so good.

Quite. He was my alias as a child. Back then I was Leto23.... but then I figured I should adopt something with a more personal meaning about it..... still, there are people who call me Leto.

For me, the most tragic and noble figure of all is Leto II. He's taken the most horrible weights on his shoulders to save humanity:

- The terrible transformation to the worm
- Incapability of fleshly love in all those times
- Forced to do horrible things against his morale

etc...
I bet the original Leto might have done the same in the same situation.
