Excellent, well written and researched novel. Even though it is filled with tension and revelations about settings and people we thought we understood it is not a dense novel. I would love for House Harkonnen to be as complex as the Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse: Dune. HA is a surface story without the fear of the Bene Tleilax evidenced in later novels, or the ecological awareness of Dune. I trust it will be better in the future. I hope and pray that "Dune 7" is the triumphant conclusion we all deserve. Who is Martin and why can Duncan see him?

I'm guessing Duncan can see them because it has something to do with this Duncan having all the cells (and therefor memories) of his previous gholas. What I want to know is just what passages from the books Frank marked when researching the seventh book.
