Just finished listening to Dune: House Atreides on tape, read by Tim Curry. (Work is an hour's drive away; tapes seem to fold space and time.)

A marvelous performance! Mr. Curry's voice is clear and resonant; his characterizations are excellent: the evil fairly drips from the Harkonnens, and his Hazimir Fenring is deliciously vile. (The good guys are good, too.)

I sincerely hope Mr. Curry will be invited to read future books in the Dune series.
