i want more Leto II. come on now, he was in what, two of the books, one where he had to share the spotlight with Paul. for crying out loud, Duncan Idaho was in all six books! (don't get me wrong, Duncan kicks ass) but seriously, more God Emperor!
Robin H. Jun 3rd 1:54 AM
I would second your demand, but it seems fruitless. There are very few authors that would have the abilities to depict Leto II. adequately. And sadly, no one of them has the rights on Dune or works with the man that has them.

I agree with Robin...Kevin needs to be removed, either temporarily or permanently. Brian should give another author a shot.

Actually, if you count the House Series, Duncan was in 9 books.

"...if you count the House Series..."

Most Frank Herbert fans don't.

When people talk about them I cover my ears and yell "LALALALALALA", and pretend they don't exist.

"When people talk about them I cover my ears and yell "LALALALALALA", and pretend they don't exist."

Like the recurring chase where I get trampled over, just another bad dream......

I've never read the House series so, apart from what's been posted, I don't know what's in them and therefore it's easy to pretend they don't exist. Maybe that's why I enjoyed the BJ series. The point is...well there is no point...I'm really just trying to make Freakzilla envious :-)

To clarify:

When I say prequels I mean the Legends of Dune and Preludes to Dune.

I am jealous of people who haven't read any of them though, but I'm sure you can imagine 3 more books of repetition and inconsistancy. I'm sure the Duniverse will eventually recover and even though the thought of the prequels will always cause a little bile to well up in my throat one day they will be recognized for what they are by all.

If you want more Leto II go buy Hunters of Dune.

SPOILER FOLLOWS

He even instantly transforms into a sandworm while in his crib to bite a RM trying to kill him!

Excuse me, I have to go vomit now...

psh, i dislike the face dancers, im not quite sure why tho.
they just bug the &^%& out of me, with their changing their appearance and stuff, i mean, i enjoyed all of the genetic maniupulation kind of things in Dune, but that seemed a little too off the wall for me
although, having one to go to school for me could be useful ^_^
p.s. mentats own your soul

FaceDancer, my shapely ass :-P
Maybe there is indeed a pearl of Leto ""'s awareness in every sandworm, so much so that it influences the judgement of those who look at him? The ghola baby is (or might be if his memories are properly awakened anyways) the man who was dubbed "the worm" even before his full transformation whenever he was angry... Maybe people are so afraid after all this time they "see" a sandworm in an angered baby ghola, unaware of its powers as yet?
Oops. Sorry, that would be too smart for Pinky and the Brain. No. Scratch that idea. Just a fan's rant I guess...
