A total departure, but...
I'm halfway through "Atlas Shrugged" and am enjoying it immensely. Never read in a genre quite like it and am not so sure that I could ever be a fan of Ayn Rand's philosophy...objectivism, indeed. But, the book has helped to shake, somewhat, the foundation of my more liberal tendencies. Although the scenarios set up either way in the book are in the extremes of right wing industrialists vs. true socialism.
The characters have helped me to better understand some people in my life, nevertheless.
Has anyone else read this and care to comment?
