Does anyone know where the old town farm was located, and where the paupers who died while living might have been buried? Does anyone have an old photo of this farm?

The old town farm was located on the Lincoln Mills Road - the building is still in existence. Just venturing a guess that the paupers who died while living there might have been buried in either the Nutter or Higgins Cemetery. Kenneth Dunham of Corinna might possibly have an old photo of this farm.

The Town Farm was located on Lincoln Mills Road. It was where the first building is now located coming in from Plesant Vale Road. I think the residents are buried with family members in the various town cemeteries.
An interesting story is told by Lilla Wood in her 1916 History of Corinna. In 1838 "Tame" Hole was opposed to the town meeting adopted article to use Pres Jackson surplus funds to purchase a town poor farm. Wood reports that Hole in a state of intoxication later threw stones and broke every window pane. Ironically, his son later became a very expensive charge to Corinna as a resident of the Town Farm.
Frank Spizuoco, of Dexter, has a picture and more which he intends to include in a book about Corinna and surrounding towns.

I forgot to say thankyou for the replies. Sorry about that. I appreciate the help. It seems that my 4th great grandfather and his second wife were paupers on the farm. I have never been able to find out where they were buried. I am doing my family history, and was just interested in finding out where this was. Thanks again.

I am looking for Shaber (Sheiber) Nickerson. He died while living at the poor farm. His date of death was 6 Mar 1888. The town of Corinna paid for his "robe and casket", but I find no further mention of his burial. His wife may have also died while living on the farm. She was Rebecca "Becky" (Smart) Nickerson.

His parents, Sheber Nickerson and Esther (Ellis) Nickerson also died in Corinna. This would be in the 1870's timeframe. Haven't found them either.
