Has anyone else seen the articles out there saying you can use an epoxy now instead of welding your body panels? They are saying it is actually stronger than a weld bond and can be tapped, drilled and sanded. Going to be replacing a patch panel on the front fender soon.
Opinions???

I have always welded any body surface...i feel it does a better job, epoxy may be as solid, but in terms of expansion and contraction in heat/cold conditions I feel welding will expand and contract along with the patched circumfrence, and you can reduce necessary overlaping required for epoxy. I am more for welding in a patch, a bit of grinding, and you have all metal there. When you tap on the panel with your knuckles, it has that real-metal sound, not fill. I am for welding, call me picky, but I think over all it is better.
All the best then.

can some one tell me the correct way to install rear quarters on a 72 nova should I use a flange tool or what?
