Personally, I would totally travel with new people and not feel weird about it (though we'd probably both be poor 20-somethings), but I wouldn't want to travel with men twice my age or anything like that. I'd feel wrong using a dude for his money, being someone who goes dutch 99% of the time and doesn't expect others to pay. I dunno, something about this set-up feels very wrong since the exchange isn't built on a legitimate foundation to begin with.

I agree. As an independent woman of colour I would feel wrong doing that. Also it's pretty clear that you're also supposed to sleep with your clients. And that's prostitution.

Why not just get an actual prostitute to travel with you. It'd be way cheaper and you could have all the sex you wanted. I guess they want to feel like they earned it.

A guy once offered to take me to the south of France, India and California to party with Soulja Boy, Snoop Dogg and a lot of other celebrities. I can't say I didn't think about it at all, but of course I turned him down because it felt totally wrong. Also, he was a moron and I really didn't want to have anything to do with him sexually. Traveling anywhere sucks if you're stuck with someone you don't really enjoy being with.

I'm not denying that anyone who chooses to go on this trip doesn't know what they're in for. I'm just saying that I would never do that, especially knowing that sex is implied. Of course there's a whole bunch of slutty, "loose" girls who want to travel for free that would totally go for it. This isn't just spending some money on a girl. This is them agreeing to go on a trip, just the two of them, and the guy pays for EVERYTHING. I can't imagine things going well if a girl were to reject the guy's advances.
