Have they changed their tune in recent years?  From what I recall it used to be a grab bag whether any given episode would be 1) about current events, 2) relevant to the gameplay, or 3) a detailed discussion of how they honed their masturbatory techniques in adolescence.

I've seen a few videos where people just play a game and don't talk. Those are the best. I used to watch Markiplier, now he is just full of himself and super annoying. Game Grumps isn't quite annoying me enough yet, but it's getting close.

There's only one streamer personality I can really stomach (boogie2988) and he doesn't even play games really well.

I can get so tilted on how entitled some of these people can get about wanting a salary from showcasing games they didn't design, on a video-distribution platform they didn't build, via advertising contracts they didn't negotiate.

mark perrier is a dipshit who defended pewdiepie for posting a video where he "joked" about exterminating the jews. the ppl in game grumps haven't defended antisemitism yet that im aware of tho ive heard them on the record having some less than great takes on stuff. also their piece where they played the manos game during the mst3k kickstarter marathon was so fucking bad, i almost skullfucked a moose

I think Ross and co have to put up with Arin because he's the headliner but they'd be a lot better off without him.

imo we should make the distinction between Let's Players (who just play games and talk over it) and dunkey (who uploads well-edited comedy videos which mainly feature video game footage).

I wouldn't even call someone like Pewdiepie a lets player, I think that's more for the academics that actually analyze the games they play.
