Obviously "Larry the Cable Guy" was a stage presence, an exaggeration at the very least. Still, one would think he was at least somewhat like his famed caricature in daily life, when in reality he's a smarmy floridian using his birthplace for capital gain. I guess that's what he had to resort to, failing at comedy done straight-up.
