I'm Not There

I just saw the new Bob Dylan inspired movie "I'm Not There" and it was very trippy. There's like five different characters who play Bob Dylan representing different stages of his music.
People who play characters who represent Bob Dylans music at different stages:
Christian Bale
, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett, and a little black boy who kicks ass on the guitar.
It's weird that Cate Blanchett plays a very convincing Bob Dylan. Once I got past wondering if that actor was actually a woman, and then which woman it was, she was very, very good at playing a sixties-era Bob Dylan. The only thing that ruined the illusion for me was that her fingernails were still long and painted like a ladies. I don't know, maybe Dylan grew his nails long and groomed them? I am not an historian.
It's really artsy, and for the first half of the movie I was totally lost, but by the end I was glad I saw it. Bottom line: I think you would dig it. Check it out.
Awesome soundtrack, too.

PS: Glimpse of Heath Ledgers actual bare cock! You're welcome, Freet.

I was rather impressed by them including the long nails. he had them for fingerpicking. and I wouldn't be surprised if he painted them in the 60s. I didn't notice that though; it was in black and fliggin' white.
I also loved Jim James, the singer from My Morning Jacket, singing in riddle.

I don't know what you're talking about, but if you mean the guy who sang Goin' to Acapulco at the little girls funeral, then I agree.
The song is on the myspace page for the movie soundtrack

Thats the one.
I had no idea there were that many covers on the soundtrack. I'd like to hear.

The idea bugs me as a bit pretentious but I probably wouldn't mind seeing it even if just for the music.
