Yes, its that time of year again, time for the Temecula All-City community band to fire up and get ready for our parade on July 4th in Temecula, California, USA.

I am arranging the music right now. This year we will be playing "Surf City" and "God Bless the USA". If you are interested, please go to:

WWW.C-Melody.com and click on the Temecula All-City Community Band link/picture. Please ignore the statement that we will be playin "Raiders March" as we have changed our selection since that page was posted.

And YES, I will write C-Melody and C-Soprano pieces if you want to join the band. It is easy with Finale music software! I'll even write a C-Bass part if you have one of those (okay, now I'm dreaming)!

What else does finale software do?

Finale is probably one of the most complete composition software packages around. Besides writing music, you can do the following:

Play the music on a MIDI instrument and have it recorded as sheet music.

Output your sheet music as MIDI files for conversion to WAV or MP3 for recording to CD.

Read TIF scans (1-bit, 300dpi) of sheet music and put it into a sheet music score.

Record an instrument playing thourgh a microphone and generate the sheet music that matches.

Easily copy and transpose parts.

Extract individual parts from a score.

Etc. etc. etc...

Too bad I have a gig in Las Vegas this July 4 -- if you march a mini-band at any other time, announce it. Temecula isn't THAT far!

You will need to tell me what gap to fill though. Your choices would be: piccolo, flute, clarinet, alto, tenor, bari, most likely a C-mel, or even trumpet or horn if I can borrow the instrument.
