Just buy a beater sax for the neck/case/parts. Then you'll end up another sax. The last one I bought just for the neck played better (not perfect by any means) than the one that needed the neck. They just keep breeding!

Buying multiple C-Mels really IS a Lucky-Dip thing. Both the Gold-plated and the Two-Tone Buescher were delightfully undersold, but some others were barely worth the shipping cost - let alone the purchase price.
Only good for spares....
