I have found Musicmedic to be a great source for pads in the USA. They ship free. A set for your Holton will cost about $30. If you are not US, I think it will still be a good deal because their quality is very high and $30 is a great price. Do a Google on them. I also suggest you look at some sax websites for re-pad advice. This is also a good time to gently polish the horn. I have done a number of Holtons and have found no peculiar problems with them. The later horns after serial # 25000 are from the later 1920s and are superior. My Holton is my favorite C Melody.
Good Luck.

Clyde...No1 Any old tenor mouthpiece will NOT do. You will find that your mouthpiece and reed choice will be the deciding factor as to whether your C Melody will play well or not. (Along with the rebuild of course)!

Clyde--I like your 1917 spelling, "Jassbug". I use the Musicmedic Precision Brand pads with flat metal resonators. They look vintage and are fairly hard like the Conn Res-O-Pad. I have re-padded many Holtons, including my own Wiedoeft model with these pads. Take your time and follow some website instructions. When you are done, tell us how it plays. Good Padding.
