C Melody Saxophone Forum / Repairs and Refurbishing / dyeing cork?

lacurandera User ID: 1516194	Jul 8th 1:47 AM Ok, i know you can dye leather. do you think leather dye would work on cork? I know cork would probably soak up more of the dye and take longer to dry. Any other suggestions as to what i could use to dye cork without leaving dye residue on the metal of my sax?

Alan (uk) User ID: 0651814	Jul 9th 4:38 AM A black 'marker pen' is more permanent and lasts forever, but there's good stuff like neoprene out there, denser than foam (e.g. camping mats for the thick stuff) and easy to extract/cut with a hole punch.

I don't, except for preventing domestic anarchy. Some day the only affordable horn for American players will be the C Melody which will then drive the market up, in which case we will be playing the always affordable Kazoo.

When I first started playing music pro, in Germany in the sixties, you could hear the American screams when the dollar re-valued - and off-base purchasing power went DOWN.... Before the revaluation it was at about four dollars to the UK pound, after, it was just over two ! Seems like deja-vu, maybe you'll go back to four dollars to the pound ?
