I got a Zinner C-mel mouthpiece from Anke this morning,(Vielen Dank!) and have spent a couple hours fooling around with it on my Buescher. I really like the sound and seem to have good intonation. It looks close to the size of my daughters generic alto mouthpiece, but feels even smaller than that when playing. A definite step up from the original Buescher mouthpiece I had been using; however, I still have to work to get those bottom bell notes.

Which facing did you get?

Model 78C with a 5 facing. Seems like a good deal when I saw an original Buescher mp go for over $50 a couple days ago.

Hey Kristen, glad you like it and it has arrived save in the States.
Yeah, they sound great, don't they. It is a big improvment very often, compared to the old C-Melody mouthpieces.
You got the Classic one, which has a more warm and mellow sound, compared to the Special. The Special is a bit harder to control and has a more open and brighter sound.
