C Melody Saxophone Forum / Mouthpieces Reeds and Ligatures / I tried this mouthpiece

Someone mentioned they used the Graftonite Tenor Sax Mouthpiece (Model A-5) (#81965)so I ordered the mouthpiece to use on my C melody. After going back order 3 times at woodwind brassind it finally arrived today (one month later). It plays well on my tenors but not on the C melodies I have.On the Conn tuneable neck it has too long a body so it played sharp on the high notes/flat on the low range. Changing to the Buescher truetone it performed better but still doing what it did on the Conn. I have a Brillhart short shank tenor mouthpiece which does better, but the best for playing is still my Leblanc (Woodwind brand) B6 mouthpiece.
This is the last time I will listen to those who say "try this...". But for $17 and $4 shipping it is a mouthpiece on a par with the Yamaha 4C tenor mouthpiece I have that runs $20to $30 for my tenor sax.
