C Melody Saxophone Forum / Neck Straight versus Curved / Auxiliary high F key.

Is it reasonable to assume that, due to their age, most/all C-Melody's do not have an auxiliary (in-line) high F key, just the normal left hand palm side one (with the D & Eb)?
I'd like to add a C-Melody to my elderly but loved Martin alto & tenor collection as a working horn (then I can read over a keyboard players shoulder without transposition brain damage).

I have an early (1923/24) King C melody that has a "front" auxiliary high F key, so they did exist at that time; however, my later (1925) Buescher C Mel. is not so equipped. I prefer the Buescher despite this...Best wishes..Lewis.
