from an answer to a question it would seem that the sax has bevelled toneholes and that one is missing. Alan you're the martin expert. And no I neither need or want another one, especially one with a missing tone hole.

If you think that neck's scary, and it is, very, just wait till Alan reads that somewhat negative remark about Martin toneholes.

Paul. Negative perhaps but accurate. Always poor engineering practice to mount heavier section cantilevered items to lighter scantlings. Perhaps guy wires from the top of the tone holes to the body would be in order. :-))

..don't know why youi guys think I get defensive about Martins, I play King C-Mel, and Conn C-Sop these days ! Pictures don't do the sax any favours, neck may not be pulled down that much, it's all in the angles, and zooming in doesn't help the low-res pics.....

Could (just could) be a Martin. Had a quick punt, but someone has some money stacked on it. Plus I'll only buy C-Mels these days with a front-F, that saves the bank balance a little.

Seller uses words like "splendiferousness", so he really should keep the sax and join this forum........
