I'm thinking about buying one, and I would like to iron out all the problems I'd have beforehand. Are there any fingering differences, and what kind of reed would you use on it?(alto, tenor?)

It said to be wary about eBay, so if I could get some opinions on this one that would be great.

Sorry Ryan - I got there 20 mins after the auction ended.
Let me point you to a couple of reviews of King & Martin C-Mels, by a respected UK repairer/player, Steve Howard -

Ryan--- If you want to play blues and/or Rock, I echo Alan, as the Kings and Martins have the biggest sound. A very effective metal mouthpiece can be purchased from Aquilasax. If you are inclined towards a concert sound, then one of the new plastic mouthpieces attached to any quality C Melody(I've never seen a cheaply built C Melody from the American manufacturers) will be satisfactory. I suggest a horn with resonator pads. It's nice to "C" a new fan of the C Melody.Good luck.
