Sorry to be bothersome...this is sort of a follow-up to my last post. I've been doing some research, found loads of information almost all of which was really confusing, and then went to E-bay (I know, buyer beware).
Anyone have anything to say about these auctions? All clinkers, what I should be willing to pay, ANYTHING. The last in particular is the one I'm most interested.
Thanks in advance for any advice...it's so appreciated.
auctions #250101339009, #330106643781, #230114252997 and #140106172866.

Bb - You are undeniably the most bitter and callous person that posts on this forum. You just can't seem to stop your nastiness and fascitioussness. It envelops and consumes you. You are a sad man. Sometimes I wish that I was standing in front of you and looking into your eyes when you spew out your bulls**t. I bet you get into a lot of arguments wherever you go. You of course will say you don't. But we know the real truth, don't we. Lobotomy, electric shock therapy, drugs; Probably none would work on you. Maybe a few good old fashioned Pub bashings would straighten you out, or at least shut your mouth. Post all the insults you want in answer to logical statements about you. It just digs a deeper hole for you to crawl in. All the people that post here can follow your trail of venom by just looking up back posts. If something doesn't follow your agenda, you lash out. We can never stay on subject when you jump in because you just lose control. Oh well C'est Lavie.

To be totally honest, Bb's been posting as long as I have, which is a while, and I can't say that when I look back at his posts I see a 'trail of venom'.
To set the record straight, Bb's objection to Doc Frazier is that he has no PhD, not that he is a medical doctor. My understanding is that Doc Frazier feels justified in posting under that pseudonym because he has the highest qualification avaliable in auto repai (i think), the equivalent of a PhD I suppose. I'm surprised that noone has asked Bb whether he is a Captain ;-))
Everyone has their peeves that really "hack them off" to use one of your yankee sayings, evidently Bb's is reference to superstition. I happen to be agnostic, so can quietly sit on the fence for this issue.
I've said it before, can everyone please calm down and get back onto saxophones?

If that is all that it takes, from now on "Doc" will not be used.

I received the"Doc" title in 1978 when I attained the highest level of certification in the US as an auto tech. I didn't give it to myself, it was given by fellow workers at the place I was working at then.

Ukebrt. - That's one point. I'm sure Bb is not a Captain, just as Muggles is not a Captain. They are titles used for posting, etc. Bb knows this and since he is NOT a Captain, but puts Doc down for using "Doc". That makes Captain Bflat an obvious hypocrite. You can't fault that observation without being contradictive or redundant. So let's stop this personal crap right now. And that includes me.

Man, we have been over all of this before.
To Quote Jesus:
"Do to others as you would have them do to you."
And
"Peace be with you."
Captain Beeflat, is your question rhetorical, or do you really want me to answer how God could allow 32 innocent youths to be killed? If you really want an answer, I would be glad to answer you offline. Just email me: wwalkerjr@verizon.net
Angela, sorry your thread got hijacked. If you are still with us, did you ever get your C-Melody?

Yes, lets get back to music please, but Wade - would you please stop alluding to "non-believers" ? Sort of implies that your faith is the only true belief - that's all I have to say. We're all believers, just in different things.
That expression does wind me up, the local churches here use it "to death" as well - then they wonder why we think of them as smug and elitist
'Nuff said. I really prefer discussing saxophones.............

Sometimes you guys scare me. This stuff is much too deep. But then again, this thread is titled Opinions. So I guess it's alright. Although things do get a bit testy and doenright hostile at times.

Alan (uk), I will try to use non-christian if that is acceptable.
Back to saxophones, I took my Buescher out of the case and started playing it again after spending most of my time the last few months with my Conn C-Mel.
I was immediately greated with a feeling like slipping into an old, comfortable set of clothes. The Buescher fell under my fingers in the accustomed places and the notes fell from the sax with ease. I didn't realize how hard I had been working on the Conn.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a negative comment against the Conn, for I believe that the work I am doing with the Conn just indicates that it needs regulation. Afterall, it is the Conn that I got from Roger after he had extensive work done to the saxophone. I used the same Morgan mouthpiece that Roger supplied with the Conn, so the difference was not in the mouthpieces.
Mostly the difference was in the sound. The Buescher was sweet, melodic and polite. The Conn was more brash, in your face, with a bit more edge. So I really have two different axes to use in different venues. Guess which one is headed for the streets in the annual Temecula Star-Spangled Fourth parade in July!

Yes, Roger did struggle with that Conn. I don't know that the old (W1) curved neck Conns are that amazing. Stacey always had problems with his, whereas Steve is happy (until the new one..). I find the newer (W2) Conns - like Mugsy's and JJ's better to play - albeit (for me) with a replacement curved neck.
Buescher has a very different feel and sound from from Conn, chalk and cheese. You should also try a well set up Martin and/or King if you have the chance, they both feel and play differently again - each with characters of their own. Horses for courses..... And why not ?

Simpy a swansong for those who cannot understand.
Captain Beeflat is a twist on the Name Captain Beefhart...obvious to most.
"Doc" however is a conceited self gratifying title worthy of a mountibank. No PhD was ever granted for spanner wielding...perhaps it is different in the swamplands. He claims it to be a nickname (which speaks volumes about his peers)..would he have hung onto Stinker or Ginger?
J.J Your unqualified tirade clearly shews that you need treatment urgently...and you accuse ME of being vitriolic!
Various god botherers...there is no proof of your claims. We pragmatists and realists therefore are not "non- believers" as you smugly put it; you are "the gullible".
To my old friends on this site, bye bye. I shall stick to my Bb tenor...

Captain Beefhart and Your Magic Band: Your last post shows your unhealthy obsession with disdain for Doc Frazier. As a fairly new poster on this forum, dare I say: "Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish". Maybe guys like me can now come to this forum and get some useful information on saxophones, instead of the ravings of a Hate Monger.

Castaway - go to websites like mine (cmelodysax.co.uk) for info, forums are mostly 'soapbox alley' - especially where there is no registration and posters use pseudonyms..... Although I must admit that this one can get a bit 'over the top' at times, makes saxontheweb look positively civilised..
I, for one, will in future only contribute occasional relevant 'musical' dialogue to this forum, because I do believe that it's a "C Melody Saxophone forum" ? I'll drink to that.

Captain Be Fart - Ahh, smell the fresh air. Like they say in the U. S. Marine Corps, when something good happens: "Oooorah". Don't let the proverbial door hit you in the arse on the way out.

Alan (uk) - I know a lot of us, and that definitely includes me, tend to get weird at times. But Bb has a very mean nasty way about him. He brings out the worst in me. I'm sorry if I offend you by mocking him. But he is a bitter person and it is obvious to many on this forum by the tones of his posts. Your self control transcends his by quite a lot. I can debate with you, and even when it gets hot; after it's all over. I never hold any offense or malice towards you. Your retorts are usually laced with an underlyng humor which makes me dislike myself for some of the things I say to you. But with Bb, it seems as if he just hates. I find it hard to forgive and forget where he is concerned. You don't have to agree with me about this. But he seriously has a problem. I don't believe and agree with everybody on their tenets and what Diety they choose, but I don't spit out hate and vitreol about it. He holds a grudge forever it seems.

By the way, I am not discussing this any further. Please talk about saxophones. (Preferably C saxophones, if possible). DONE!

Very sorry to see you go Bb.
I'll try and talk about saxophones more too, except in the good natured banter section.
