Steve,
To help promote the Aquila Sax C tenor how about making a poster for those of us on this site to download and print to show our respective local musical instrument retailers.
Any other ideas?

Just to let you know ...
I now have a shot of the new C sax prototype on the website. It's an unfinished bare brass test sample but you get the idea!

Steve - looks good, like the clean lines of all the bow/bell notes on the same side, like the classic Keilwerth's (and others) - I see the production model will have the option of an 'underslung tenor style' neck ?
I'll update my website - and I hope all the doubters/sceptics will now commence "eating their shorts", if not their words.
Well done !

Steve - I went to the website and it mentioned to drop you an Email for more info about the new C-Mel. I could not find your address anywhere on the site.
What is your Email so I can get purchase info when it becomes available.
Thanks

Alan...Are you claiming agent's fees?

Like what looks like a spatula Alt F, shame the little trill keys (G# and Eb) aren't being included. Apparently they're hell on earth to set up though.

Ukebert.
The G#/G key really is handy, whereas I have never found a need for the forked Eb, and for this reason I always cork it shut. Most of the old horns with this feature have the little lower pad corked shut...just in case of a leak. Perhaps this fact has given you the impression they are difficult to set up.
High F# too...and a real F#, not my tenor F# which is, of course E...getting more attractive by the minute.
Thank god it's not straight. I do not fancy a rotational force of about 9lb.ft. pushing my top teeth into my skull. :-))

I've never used it either, but it's nice to have it there :-))
It actually looks really good, and it's bigger so won't look like quite so much of a wimpy tenor. I erally want to hear it now... I may just have to buy one. I rather fancy Capn Muggle's silver body with gold keys, could look quite eye catching.
If only it had low A!

Low A...if only. What a distinctive appearance; like a mini baritone...give it unto me. :-))
You say that it's bigger? Surely that was a Conn alto alongside for comparison; I may well be wrong but that was my impression.

On one picture it's a Conn Alto, on the other it's a cmel, or I may have grasped the wrong end of the stick.
Yes, bottom left on Alan's page is a cmel comparison.

Sorry if it caused confusion, I obviously need to change my style - one reader couldn't find the three email links, and now this...
Steve took pics comparing the new C Sax to both a Conn 6M alto (first pic) and a Conn C-Mel (second pic) - you'll notice I mentioned that on the page ?
There is no extra instrument in the third pic, and, where shown with other instruments, the C-Sax is on the right...

There is also, on Steve's site, a photograph of a "Cap'n Muggles Special"; matte silver with gold keywork. I am assuming that this is the new horn but with an incomplete picture with no scale comparitor, it is difficult to tell. Very tasty however and featuring a Rampone & Cazzani bell brace...if only. Pause for whistful sigh.

I beleive it is one of his current Tenors, illustrating the style and quality that the finish of his products have. The more I look at his pictures of the new Cmel the more I think I need one.

Thanks for the explanation Owen. I too think that I need one of the new C Mels..but I must hear it first, not some gentle ballad but a blast with edge. Pulled out my old Buescher C mel yesterday having played a modern tenor exclusively for the last year or so. The keywork is, shall we say, rather less than perfect unless one plays it all the time, as I used to. Good sound however.
