Define "spares"? Does it mean "pads"?

spare (part) noun [C usually plural]
a piece that can be used to replace another similar piece in a car or other device.
So yes it could mean "pads".
However, in this case it means - cups, guards, posts, stops, keys, neck tenon and even the bell but if you really want the pads.

If it's a new wonder, then I'd be interested in the octave key if undamaged.

Ukebert...How sneaky. Are you going to put that nail file octave key on your non New Wonder sax and try to pass it off as a New Wonder! If so; That's not nice! If I am wrong, I appologize. If I am right; You're a bad boy!

I have a new wonder series 1, and it doesn't have a nail file octave key. I was not aware that such a thing existed, even on the new wonder series 2s. I was under the impression that it was the nail file G# that set it apart from the Series 1.
In any case, I wouldn't do such a thing. Mine got bent in transit, as the seller omitted a neck plug.
Apology accepted.

Owen...I was completely off on that one. It IS the G# key that is nailfiled AND it is on the Chu Berry model, not the New Wonder. You get a double appology on that! I think I am correct now. (I hope)!

I belive actually that there was no such thing as a specific Chu model, the one normally assigned to that name is the New Wonder Series 2.

Owen.....You are 100% correct! It's just that many people still put them up for sale under the title: "Chu Berry model", even though they are The New Wonder series 2!

Captain,
You are getting confused by the nickname "Chu". This collector's term is used casually to describe the New Wonder Series II, and occasionally even to the Series I NW horns.
In fact, Leon "Chu" (or "Chew") Berry played a "Transitional" horn- yet another unofficial nickname for horns that exhibit characteristics of both the older, NW II and the then newly emerging "Artist" series i.e. 6/10/12M models that would replace both.
