It may be worth $500.00, but only if it is in great condition and made by one of the major manufacturers. Get in touch with Alan Tucker and possibly Email him a photo or detailed description. He will definitely be able to help you out with a possible monetary value of your horn (especially if it is a C melody). He is the quintessential expert on these horns! He is usually right on the money (no pun intended) with his information.
