I have a beautiful silver plated (I think it is silver plated) saxophone, I think its a C-melody, the name is Melody Master, made in Elkhardt Indiana. I am selling it for $ 500.- if someone is interested please contact me by e-mail ghcalabro@yahoo.com

Gus....It is a stencil of some sort. (An instrument made by a different manufacturer for sale under a different name). It may be worth $500.00, but only if it is in great condition and made by one of the major manufacturers. Get in touch with Alan Tucker and possibly Email him a photo or detailed description. He will definitely be able to help you out with a possible monetary value of your horn (especially if it is a C melody). He is the quintessential expert on these horns! He is usually right on the money (no pun intended) with his information.

It's only a guess, but I have both Melody Master alto & tenor stencils, and they are both VERY Martin. If you're unsure about whether it's a C-Mel, or maybe a tenor, also check out -
