Everyone----I am not an enigma. I am a thoroughly schooled saxophonist and flutest, (flautest) whichever way you prefer to spell it. I am from Boston, Mass., (Beantown, to some). I play professionally, full time. (No day job whatsoever). I live in Philadelphia, Pa. I graduated from the Curtis School of Music in 1968. I am considered by some people to be one of the best jazz players in the tristate area. That is their opinion, not mine. I have a heavy schedule. (Approximately 5 to 6 days a week). I do session work and club appearances with my own quintet. I only poke fun at some of you guys for pure jest. I mean nothing bad by it. Some day I will give you my true name. It may surprise you because some of you will have definitely heard of me. I am well known in Pro Jazz circles. I have recorded many times with my own group and countless times as a featured sideman. I will let it stand at that. I believe that is all the info you need to know. This info is mainly for Alan UK, because he asked for it.

I spent enjoyable time in Boston in the 80's - for a while my second home seemed to be Logan Airport, as I worked for a company up in Nashua NH, home of clam chowder (chowda...).

I was very impressed by a roller-skating busking saxophonist in downtown Boston, whose third arm (artificial, I hope) held out a begging cup. As he went past, I remember thinking "Only in America....."

WW2 - Been there. Done that. (LA, that is.) Worked there in 1995 to 1997 doing movie soundtracks and club dates as well as session work.

Me too, Anaheim in the 80's as well, after we got sold to Lockheed......... Some areas of downtown LA were an eye-opener to this English country lad.

Saw (and met) a lot of folk there to whom the words "the American dream" didn't seem to be very relevant !
