I should preface this by saying I'm a little drunk. HOPEFULLY it makes sense.

Okay so long story short I'm on the board of directors for my building and we're having a conflict with a board from the neighboring building. They're always very difficult so in light of that today I wrote a letter giving them an ultimatum; either play nice or we're getting a lawyer to pursue legal action. This is technically the first time I've ever threatened do anything like this so it's a kind of a big deal. I popped my cherry! Yaaa!

Moving on, the weird part happened after. On the way to the Raptors games tonight (btw eat shit dallas cause you suck) I had my brother proof read the "lawyer" message and then I sent it off. Half an hour later I randomly run into the guy who I sent the letter too... at the Raptors Game... in the middle of a huge ass crowd in a building with close 20k people. Anyway he spotted me and we awkardly shook hands. Both of us were drunk so we were way to friendly but we both agreed that it's probably best to discuss this issue tomorrow when we're sober (and since it deals with legal matters).

ANYWHO Long story short I'm really drunk and happy the Raptors won. The whole board of directors thing is pretty crzy too... the chances of us running into each other after an email like that seems very low.

The better way to play it for the future is to tell a lawyer your situation and have him write the threatening letter. It'll cost you maybe $200 for the letter, but the other party will take your threat a hell of a lot more seriously when they see you've already gotten one involved. I've seen my parents pull this trick several times and the other party always gave in/backed down.
