Makes me wonder if we should put a grace period on edits.  Something like a few days before they stop being editable except by admins, except if it's the first post in a thread or something (e.g. drafts, boardcon planning)?  Or add a hack to track changes wiki-style (I've seen mods like that on other forums)?

I'm a big fan of maintaining the post record, but being married I can see the value in being able to erase the stuff you wrote years ago. I don't know where I stand on this one.
